Proof
How we check
Proof is the heart of this site. Here is what our labels and seals mean.
Every claim shows its proof
Each claim shows where it came from and the date we checked it. It also carries one of these five labels.
- Official
It comes from ZOS: patch notes, news posts or the official forums.
- Test server (may change)
We saw it on the Public Test Server (PTS). It can change before it reaches the live game.
- Tested
We tried it in the game ourselves.
- Expert view
An experienced player, named on the page, gives their view.
- Player report
Players told us about it. We have not confirmed it yet.
What we think is always marked "Our take", so you can tell fact from opinion.
Seals on builds and honors
Every build and every Hall of Fame honor carries one of three seals.
- Verified
Named checkers confirmed it on a date we show, with proof you can open.
- Pending
We are still checking it.
- Rejected
We checked it and it did not hold up. We say why.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix the page and add a line to this log. We never hide the old claim.
